Easy to install with a "fold out" system; the tubular elements are fixed using industrial riveting methods for sustained durability. This antenna has been designed to use a high magnesium content Aluminium alloy, for a stronger, yet lighter antenna, and the use of UV stabilised plastics for the element brackets and Balun housing. The antenna gives approximately 6d - B of signal gain, with >3.5d - B in gain variation over the operating frequency range.
It offers a beamwidth of 65deg for VHF and 37deg for UHF, with a min return loss of -5d - B for VHF and -8d - B for UHF.
