Please do not assume that any clock hands you have will fit, as the mounting holes are not standardized. These continuous sweep movements will operate a second hand, but second hands are considered optional. All models have a 5/16" (7.94mm) shaft diameter so a 3/8" (9.53mm) mounting hole is the correct size to drill in your case.Specifications; Length of threaded section of the spindle is 9/16 inch or 14.29mm For use on a board up to 1/2 inch or 12.7mm thick Total length of spindle is 7/8 inch or 22.23mm The shaft diameter is 5/16 inch (7.94mm) so use a 9mm or 3/8 inch drill.
