With an axle diameter of 9 mm at the front wheel and 10 mm at the rear wheel, the Thru Bolt system is a special type of attachment for bicycles. The DT Swiss Thru Bolt system is compatible with standard quickrelease dropouts but requires the corresponding hubs. The more stable connection between the frame and wheel results in greater stiffness.
